A big difference from being the "second" child: she's totally into using the potty. She hasn't gone yet but I'm all for it. Today she said "I'm pooping" so I put her on the potty. Unsuccessful but still it's a step toward a diaperless world for me.

Sick day -- not really she threw up last night but was fine this morning. I didn't want to risk getting other kids sick so she stayed home. She enjoyed coloring on the porch for a while.

We are horticulturists now. Planting more . . . today it was a mum. I love Reese's little foot peeking out from under her dress.

We had a get-together cookout with some friends. Brody & family came but Alison was sick so her family didn't make it. Reese is giving me the "pirate eye" here.

This date has significance to most Americans. I can remember how scary the world seemed eight years ago. One thing that stands out in my mind was my MIL made a remark to Aaron and I about having a baby, then my FIL said, "I wouldn't want to bring a kid into this world right now." I totally agreed but look what I have now. The world can still be a scary place but these four are my world and these four cute faces show are the future, they give me hope.

I thought Reese was being really quiet one morning about 11:30. This is how I found her. She tends to fall asleep late morning while watching TV especially if we've been outside working in the yard.

Labor Day Parade = lots of candy. We had a gallon size bag of candy leftover after the kids each ate some and took out 10 pieces each! Ethan's favorite part of the parade was the drums!

Our friend, Carter, had his 2nd birthday party. It was a Jungle party complete with animals hidden in the jungle grass. He got a new vehicle to go on safari too.

She needed a bath BIG TIME! I don't know how she does it but she can get scoops of sand in her diaper add some poop and I don't know what else to do but put her in the tub.

A rare moment where Caden asked Addison to play "guys". They played nicely for about 10 minutes; it's fun to hear their imaginations going.

We finally made it to the farmer's market in Davenport. It was really fun and I hope to go again this weekend.

We had a "made-it-through-the-first-week-of-school" party with french bread pizzas, grapes, breadsticks, and milkshakes. I got the movie Coraline. They like it but it was a little scary in places. It was a nice way to end the week.

We went to a different park just for something fun to do. It was really nice nobody was there except us for about 30 minutes then a daycare van showed up and another mom with 2 kids.
